Emily Armenta
Biography
Born into a Texas family of artists, Emily Armenta was encouraged to express her creativity at a young age. Her passion for jewelry led her to open her own company and to design collections "with a story to tell."
She chooses her gemstones and materials based on their symbolic nature and is inspired by renowned artists, musicians and poets of Spain. Emily Armenta has been influenced most by Federico Garcia Lorca. "I was taken by his understanding of 'duende', a spirit of unpredictable passion that's within us all and how it manifests itself as a creative force," she explains. For Armenta, this has taken shape in her 18 karat and 22 karat yellow and rose gold and "Midnite" collection of oxidized sterling with diamonds and gemstones.
Heraldic motifs and refined medieval designs evoke a time of romance and chivalry. Glowing moonstones, green amethysts, diamonds in midnite silver elevate each piece to that of a talisman.
