Biography

The son of a Navy career father, Leo Feeney moved around the United States - from Key West, Florida as a child to Emmaus, Pennsylvania for high school. There, Leo met a silversmith teacher at the local community college, and having a strong interest in this art, Leo became his apprentice. He learned many silversmith techniques and designed mostly contemporary jewelry styles.

In 1971, Leo met his wife at the Grand Canyon, and they eventually moved to her hometown of Flagstaff, Arizona. The locale inspired Leo to study different jewelry styles, including the rich history of Native American design. He opened a store in Flagstaff and began designing and selling Southwestern jewelry. Leo is greatly influenced by Zuni Pueblo jewelry designs. He mixes semi-precious and gem stones to create unique and dazzling pieces. His signature cluster style with many intricate stone settings is highly regarded.

Leo Feeney currently resides in Flagstaff, Arizona with his family.
