Biography

Pam Springall was born in Santa Barbara, California to parents who were both entrepreneurs. He mother made the original poodle skirts which sold to Saks and Nieman Marcus. They also collected Navajo and Zuni Indian jewelry. She grew up thinking turquoise was the most beautiful stone in the world.

In the 1990's she began making jewelry and selling it at the Tesuque Flea Market north of Santa Fe, but found she could not get the kind of silver findings and clasps she liked. As Pam began learning to make waxes to create her own findings, she bought more and more turquoise and the bead shows began.

By 1994, she had bought more beads, made more contacts and basically created a whole new life. "I love good stones" she says. "I want my pieces to be comfortable and classic, but I also love unusual cuts and colors. Now, Pam Springall's necklaces can be found in every hue and color of the rainbow, working in turquoise, sugilite, coral, gaspeite, pearls and faceted precious and semi-precious gemstone. She divides her time between Santa Fe and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
