Peggy Wright
Biography
Peggy Wright's primary influence for her unique designs stems from the materials themselves. Influenced greatly by her worldwide travels to places like Thailand, Nepal and Kenya, she enjoys using natural turquoise, corals, lapis and semi-precious beads and fresh water pearls.
Originally from San Francisco, Peggy moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1986 after receiving a degree in Conservation of Natural Resources from UC Berkeley. She began designing for Peyote Bird and since then, her designs have been featured in national catalogues such as Sundance and Coldwater Creek and are highly regarded due to her high standards for quality. The essence of Santa Fe is evident in Peggy's dynamic color combinations and multi-cultural elements of design.
When she is not designing jewelry, Peggy can be found enjoying the slopes at the Santa Fe Ski Area or cooking for Kitchen Angels, a local non-profit organization which provides meals for those who are homebound due to illness.
