Southwest Designs

This section is devoted to the many Native American artisans whose work we have only periodic access to or in very limited quantity. They may be young artists just starting their careers, they may work part time on their designs, they may be further removed geographically or simply less recognized than others. They are the sons, sisters, cousins, neighbors and friends of artists, some highly acclaimed. And many as you will see are highly acclaimed in their own right.

We have selected the following pieces based on their quality construction, design integrity, beautiful stones and fine craftsmanship. By far the greater body of work coming from the mesas and high deserts of New Mexico and Arizona is created by individuals who are not often given credit for their enormous contribution to what has come to be recognized as Southwest jewelry design.
